Description

“The font imitates the Gospel headset of the Moscow Printing House, which was used mainly for the collection of the liturgical Gospel-Tetra, and sometimes Horologions or Psalters (printed with the same headset).
Made mainly on the basis of scans of the Gospel of 1651, and also partially of the Chasovnik of 1641 and the Psalms of 1653; capital letters “green”, “er” – “yat” and “xi” – “izhitsa” I did not find in the 17th century editions, so I had to take them from the evangelical headset of the Fedoseyevskaya Transfiguration printing house, most similar to this one. When developing, I tried to match the original glyphs as closely as possible, with one exception: I leveled capital letters in height. The encoding is the same as in my other fonts.
An example of the use of this font is an exact re-typing of the Gospel of Radishevsky in 1606. However, in fairness it should be noted that in the 1606 edition a headset was used, slightly different from this one.” (Constantine Spektorov)
