  • (RO) Înjurând pițigăiat, zoofobul comandă vexat whisky și tequila. Limba română este o limbă indo-europeană, din grupul italic și din subgrupul oriental al limbilor romanice. Printre limbile romanice, româna este a cincea după numărul de vorbitori, în urma spaniolei, portughezei, francezei și italienei. Din motive de diferențiere tipologică, limba română mai este numită în lingvistica comparată limba dacoromână sau dialectul dacoromân.   • (TR) Pijamalı hasta, yağız şoföre çabucak güvendi. Türkçe ya da Türk dili, batıda Balkanlar’dan başlayıp doğuda Hazar Denizi sahasına kadar konuşulan Altay dillerinden biridir. Yaşı, en eski hesaplara göre 8500 olan Türkçe, bugün yaşayan Dünya dilleri arasında en eski yazılı belgelere sahip olan dildir. Bu belgeler, çivi yazılı Sümerce tabletlerdeki alıntı kelimelerdir. Türk yazı dilleri içinde Oğuz sahası yazı dillerinden Osmanlı Türkçesinin devamını oluşturur. Başta Türkiye olmak üzere eski Osmanlı İmparatorluğu coğrafyasında konuşulan Türkçe, dünyada en fazla konuşulan 5. dildir. Türkçe sondan eklemeli bir dildir.   • (BG) Българският език е индоевропейски език от групата на южнославянските езици. Той е официалният език на Република България и един от 23-те официални езика на Европейския съюз. Българският език е плурицентричен език – има няколко книжовни норми. Наред с основната, използвана в България, съществуват още македонска норма, която също използва кирилица, и банатска норма, която използва латиница.
  • (SR) Српски језик је један од словенских језика из породице индоевропских језика. Први писани споменици у српској редакцији старословенског језика потичу из 11. и 12. века. Српски језик је стандардни језик у службеној употреби у Србији и Босни и Херцеговини, а у употреби је и у другим земљама где живе Срби, међу осталима и у Црној Гори, Хрватској и Македонији. По пореклу, граматици и по речничком фонду српском језику су слични хрватски, црногорски и бошњачки језик, тако да се говорници ових језика могу још увек без проблема споразумевати.   Veleka

Veleka is a complete modification of Charis SIL (copyrighted (c) by SIL International, 1997-2014 under SIL license).

Although Charis SIL is intended to be a multilingual font it has some limitations, which were the reason of creating the Veleka font.

What is new in the Veleka v. 1.000?

1. There is a full support for Greek in the Unicode range uni0370 : uni03CE.
2. There are two models of Cyrillic for the range uni0410 : uniuni044F (Modern Bulgarian Cyrillic and Russian Traditional Cyrillic).
3. There are two ways to switch between the modern and traditional Cyrillic (either by using locl feature for Russin language, or by using Style Set 01 feature).
4. There is a full support for Open Type features: Latin All Caps (case + cpsp), Ligatures, Discretionary Ligatures, Fractions, Ordinals, Swash, Titling Alternates, Contextual Alternates, Small Caps, All Small Caps, Slashed Zero, Stylistic Set 01, Stylistic Set 02, Superscript/Superior, Subscript/Inferior, Numerator, Denominator, Proportional Oldstyle, Proportional Lining, Tabular Oldstyle, Tabular Lining, Default Figure Style.
5. There is a lot of new glyphs in all the main Unicode ranges: Latin, Greek, Cyrillic, IPA etc.
6. The glyphs are rearranged according to Unicode 9.0.

From Mind to Type: “In 1992 Bitstream donated a version of Charter to the X Consortium under terms that allowed the font to be modified and redistributed. This has resulted in several open source derivatives, including Charis SIL, an OpenType fork of it called Velleka and Michael Sharpe’s XCharter. Of all three, the one with the most OpenType features is Veleka: Charis SIL does not offer Small Caps, old style numerals nor sub-superscripts while the other two does, for example, and Veleka is the only one to offer arbitrary fractions.”
